3 Steps to Achieve More Success-Today!

In Business Success, Employees, Inspirational, Leadership

How do you achieve more success today? What’s the hidden answer? Do it now! Take action and make a decision today. There is no self-improvement, only increasing in the ability to be all that you already are.

Success is a state of being not a journey or a destination. You don’t need all the answers now, you do need a goal that you believe in with your heart and soul. Success involves your attitudes, feelings, values, and beliefs. It is not a cookie-cutter, once-in-a-lifetime idea. It’s personal, unique and individual. Just ask 100 people to define success, and you will get many different answers. However you define it, you have to act. Now, apply these three mountain moving ideas to help you make progress today and achieve more tomorrow.

  • State of being
  • Support
  • System

WCW, Success is a sate of being

STATE OF BEING

Suzy stood in front of her kindergarten class for show-and-tell and declared, “Today, I’m not here to talk about a pet, a book or a story. I am here to tell you about someone I consider quite fascinating – myself.” Suzy believed in herself!

Success has been defined as the progressive realization of a predetermined goal. Could real success also be the belief that you are already an important and worthy person? Ultimately, success is a state of being, something that enables everything else to fall into place. Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “Self-esteem is the first step to success.” Accept it, even if you don’t feel you have evidence. It doesn’t matter. Success is a state of being and if you believe, you can begin impacting heaven and earth one step at a time to realize your dream. The Bible says: “As he thinks in his heart so is he.”

SUPPORT

People are social by nature- people need others. What would life be like without your spouse, family, friends or co-workers? Probably not nearly as meaningful or fulfilling. The people around you are important. Their support will help you if it’s positive and encouraging. If they knock you down and are negative, find some new friends. It may be a little awkward but start one at a time if you have to but do it.

Success requires support. Many professional teams with hoards of talent fail to win when players don’t operate as a team. Share your goals with others you can trust to build you up not tear you down. And do the same for them. Motivator Bob Conklin has stated many times, “To get everything in life you want, give enough other people what they want.” Even research indicates that relationships with others and self-acceptance are critical to success. Daniel Goleman, a psychologist who studies the importance of emotional intelligence, argues that personal competence (self-mastery) and social competence (people skills) are vital to our success in our personal and professional lives.

SYSTEM

Success requires a system. Successful people have a plan for learning, growth and achievement to master their craft. Closely observe the people you consider successful, and you will notice certain characteristics about them. Some people in the limelight today-from business, entertainment and sports-will not have all of the qualities below. We often see in the media the person who rose to fame and fortune and lost it all because they sacrificed family and friends. These aren’t the people to emulate. Studies reveal the habits of highly successful people. They are:

  • Self-confident believers – they work at being positive, associate with helpful people and keep learning.
  • Goal setters and goal getters – they write down their goals and track their efforts religiously.
  • Action-oriented – they have a plan and take steps every day to win.
  • Team players – while they are working on their goals they help and get along with others and treat all people with dignity and respect.
  • Persistence – they never give up. With mistakes, failures or setbacks they learn and keep trying.

My Quest, DreamIt

Success isn’t made of magic. Despite popular opinion, success is defined by who you are not what you have. Becoming successful at whatever it is you really desire, takes work. The only place that success comes before work – is in the dictionary. Consider these powerful points, act on them today. The rewards are plentiful – a better life awaits you. Finally, remember these words of William Clement Stone, “If you can conceive it, if you can believe it, you can achieve it.”
