How to Crystallize Positive Thoughts: 6 Mental Psyche Actions Steps
You can think more positive thoughts today. Here are six Mental Psyche action steps that help. Use them every day and your thoughts and life will change for the better.
Action #1-Acknowledge how you are feeling.
What do you notice about who is the focus in action step one? It’s you, isn’t it? In short, to begin creating more positive thoughts, look inwardly. Think about how you are feeling and what you want. Be self-centered for a minute. What are your feelings? Frustrated? Tired? Overwhelmed? Excited? Optimistic? Feelings aren’t necessarily good or bad they are just reality. However, the key is what you do with them.
Shakespeare said, “To thine own self be true.” It’s human nature to do this sometimes. It’s also honest to acknowledge that you are doing it. Quite frankly superstars have more integrity than others. Why? They set big goals and they think about how they can get there. They become introspective to analyze their behavior and attitude. This mental time becomes their launching pad to do what they have to do to win even if they don’t feel like it at the moment. They learn to remind themselves with deliberate positive thoughts of their goals, personal commitment and the payoff for acting with better intentions now.
Action #2-Remind yourself of the value you need to provide.
Moreover, learn how to add greater value in what you do. This is where you need to be-it is a critical success factor. Become other-centered not self-centered. How can you deliver great sales, serve others, lead others or solve a technical problem if you only think about yourself? You can’t! This is especially important if you are feeling frustrated or depressed about things. The quickest way to engage positive thoughts is to help someone else. That is to say, remember the words of Samuel Smiles, “It’s an amazing thing that when you help others you help yourself.”
Albert Schweitzer said, “I don’t know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know: the only ones among us who will be happy are those who have sought and learned how to serve.” So remind yourself of what your company, customers or family want. For example, set goals and action steps in writing to achieve and accomplish those things for others and yourself. When you help others succeed, you will succeed.
Action step #3-Remember who is accountable for your results and positive thoughts
Champions take 100% responsibility for their life’s and jobs. While you won’t be able to control all of the circumstances in your life, you can always control what you do in response to them. It never works to blame others. Therefore, with hard work, on-going learning, teamwork and determination you can do just about anything.
Action step #4-Visualize yourself succeeding. See it!
Most importantly, top performers in sports always see a positive result before they take action. Visualization is often called the master skill of success. How do you do it? You take a few moments to think how you want things to be. Picture it in your mind’s eye as vividly as possible. Make a DVD in your mind of you succeeding and doing well. Create the feeling of success that would go with it.
Therefore, do this as often as you can and in time your thoughts will help create the fact or a reality very close to it. Why visualize? It will replace worry and fear and help you focus on what you want, what others need and the difference you can make.
Action step #5-Verbalize Your Positive Thoughts. Say it!
Successful people also use positive affirmations generate positive thoughts which lead to positive action. First you see it and then you say it to yourself. Obviously you aren’t going to walk do the street and say, “I am the best.” Someone might put you in a straight jacket. You can say it to yourself. Why? It will replace the doubt and negative thinking. Consequently, who controls your thoughts? You do; your thoughts come from your choices. Choose to think and act positively and if you aren’t repeat affirmations to get your there.
Action step #6-Vitalize Positive Thoughts by taking action every day! Seize it now!
Certainly, see it, say it and seize it! Remember, you have to take action to give added value and reach your goals. That’s what it is all about and by following these steps you will do it with enthusiasm and excitement in a positive way.
